CBC Hughes
CBC Hughes, formerly Hughes Behavioral & Mental Health Services, excels in our work to assist our intellectually and/or developmentally disabled (I/DD) clients and caregivers because we believe it starts with a strong foundation: our team. Our team members are well-trained and fairly compensated for their skills, making us a stronger organization.
It starts with:
Growth and connection, for anything and anyone, benefit from strategic care. We’re here to help you or your family member cultivate personal skills, increased independence, and relationships in your community. Using best practices, our goal is to provide the support and care that are needed to help every individual experience their own definition of what it is to live days with meaning…and smiles.
We’re here for those too.
NC I/DD services, supports & community to better serve you and your family.
CBC Hughes’ services are provided through the NC Innovations Waiver. We understand how important it is to plan for and utilize resources to the best advantage for each of our clients. We’re happy to help you navigate the services you need and answer questions about the waiver process to secure them.
In addition to the I/DD services, we work to integrate community activities into the lives of our clients. Everyone benefits from some fun and social time in multiple ways!

Hughes cares. I like the way Hughes BMHS communicates. They are supportive and respond quickly to needs/concerns I may have.
As one of the largest providers in the market we serve, CBC is able to ensure a depth of service delivery that better supports the diverse needs of our I/DD community. Each agency in our family has long been rooted in its local communities which creates a culture of familiarity, understanding, and opens up our network for activities and employment opportunities.
